As many of you know, I work for Hallmark Cards. One of the things I have learned through this experience is how very important the human connection is.
Reaching out to others in times of crisis and loss...that helps you heal. And if there's one person I know who needs healing right now, it's Kathi.

Thank you so much for this update. I'll send off a card with a personal note to her today. The poor girl - she has been thru so very much. We do hope CJ will continue to improve and get better and better every day so he once again looks to be the handsome mancat he once was.

Thank you so much for an address! I grew up in K.C. and anything that happens there still to this day, still affects me, especially now when it happens to any of our kitty friends.
P.S. Our mom's uncle worked for Hallmark Cards too there in K.C.
OMC, I thought those were orange spots on CJ - but they were burnt fur! I feel twice as awful for him now... and will purr twice as hard! I will also put my human to work sending Kathi a little something.

Poor CJ. We're going to send CJ a little something from all of us here. It will take a while to get there (approximately 2 weeks), but we hope it would cheer CJ up a little (and Kathi too).

I told my Human to go chip in a little so she did. As beautiful as CJ was before, we think he is even MORE beautiful now, charred fur and all, because he SURVIVED!
Poor baby.. so glad he made it tho. Hopefully he will look back to him self soon. Now to spend out extra day given to us this year making a couple kitty toys. *pawhugs* TPC

When another one of catblogosphere members had a fire and lost everything, they made an Amazon wish list of necessities (litter boxes, beds, toys, blankets, food, etc) that they needed and gave us the link to it. We were able to buy one or two things and it shipped directly to them. Maybe your friends could do the same, and we could get them some much needed supplies.
