This morning was the first freeze of the season at our home.

Allie went out with Mom to save the last of the basil. We hope our catnip survives.

Perhaps it can be grown inside all winter?
*hint*hint*

Frost sure is pretty. From inside a warm home.

  4. Wow, is it ever cold over at your place. We haven't had frost yet this year and the peep says that's weird ('cause first frost usually happens in late September) but she's not complaining. Neither am I 'cause when frost is expected, the peeps gets all crazy trying to protect the tender plants. Crazy like a squirrel making nut pies, she gets. Not a pretty sight. No... not pretty at all.
PS. Peep says catnip is hardy but wants to know how growing it inside works out for you. Maybe she could grow a pot of the stuff for me.

We think your Mommy needs to bring your catnip plant indoors where it'll be safe and warm. ;)

  15. Frost! That is something I never see! My human has lived in SoCal her whole life, and she thinks she can count on the fingers of one hand that she has seen frost here.

  18. Hello Sweet Allie, I completely agree with Austin--you *are* a very beauteous LadyCat. And I know for sure that your Humans could grow your Nip indoors cause my Human did until she started ignoring it and let it die. Sigh.

Your Humans are PILOTS? Wow! The Human is so scared of flying she hasn't been on an airplane in 30 years--but she loved watching the Angels!

  19. Me thinks the frost can looks pretty! We had our first big one this week too. Daddy had the sprinkler set to come on at 6 am. The Asparagus (which looks like a fern now) looked like somethng in a fairyland. But did the human get the flashy box out? No!
