"Hi, I'm Buffy!
I'll bet you can guess how I got my name. Yes, my beautiful buff-colored coat, of course. But also because I am the sweetest girly-girl you ever will meet! Well, at least that's what my Foster Mommy says about me."
"When I first came to Great Plains SPCA, I was awfully shy and afraid. You see, my first home had way too many kitties living there. When there are so many kitties living in one house, no one gets all the time or attention that every kitty deserves. I never had a chance to form a strong bond with a human or to have the experiences that would have shown me how great life can be. Not until I met my Foster Mommy.
My Foster Mommy is a real cat whisperer here at Great Plains. She could see that underneath my shyness was a sweet, loving soul just waiting to come out. She took me home and was so patient and kind with me. She showed me how wonderful it is to play!!!
And how great it is to climb to the top of a cat tower and watch the birds and the squirrels out the window! And how terrific it is to snooze in a sun puddle in the afternoon! But most of all, she showed me how awesome it is to share love with a human!
Now, I'm doing so much better. Life is great, and I'm seizing the day! I love to PLAY, PLAY, PLAY!!! My favorite toy is a string toy, but I can make a good game out of just about anything.
You can watch me playing with Foster Mommy on my video if you click "play". I also love to be petted--and brushed, too! Ah, heaven! And I just love to spend time with humans. I'm working now on being held by them, too.
I do like it, I just haven't had much experience at it yet. If you adopt me, maybe that's something we could work on together!
If you have a place in your home and your heart for a playful, loving girly-girl like me, I hope you'll come down to Great Plains to meet me.
I may not be the bravest kitty in the world, but with you to help me, I may very well turn out to be the most loving. And I know I'll always be the happiest...because I'll be yours!!!
All my love,
This adorable little girl is available at the Independence Campus of Great Plains SPCA. Come meet her today!
