Cat Art: Maxwell in Pastel

Today, our entry into the Cat Art Blog Hop showcases someone else's art.

We've known Joan Nardozzi, the owner and creative talent behind Zaziart, for over 5 years. She was one of our very first friends, back when Ryker began sassing humans on Twitter in 2009!

And she recently created a portrait of Maxwell that we've fallen for in a big way.

Because everyone's monitor is set a bit differently and we want you to see how very strokable Maxie's fur is in the pastel portrait, we've saved the photograph using two different brightness/contrast settings.

Even the best of photographs don't do pastels like this justice. The texture is exquisite and requires a deft hand to accomplish.

Joan also donates a portion of her revenue to helping homeless pets.

If you're in the market for a pet portrait, we highly recommend her.

And if you're looking for other Cat Art this weekend, join the Cat Art Hop at this link here!

  4. Bootiful! Mom took a class in pastels and is "squeeing" over da furs AND whiskers, wot an amazing artist to be able to do dis "very difficult" medium. And now Maxie has some spare furs should he ever need 'em. *wink*

  14. I LOVE Joan’s work. I won a drawing from her at one of the first Pawpawties I attended. It still hangs over Pop’s computer desk. She does good work.
