Sunday's Shelter Sweetheart: Wilma

"I've heard that us Torties all look like a painting, each with our own distinct paint strokes, or markings. I enjoy hearing those flattering remarks so much!"

"I came to Great Plains SPCA at Merriam when my owner wasn't able to continue caring for me. While I understand that happens sometimes, it was a sad time for me. Fortunately, the staff and volunteers here have been very sweet and caring so I am regaining my confidence.

I truly enjoy human companionship. If you scratch behind my ears and pet my head, I will be your best friend! I really don't demand much - a tidy litterbox, fresh food and water plus some good loving from YOU, and we will be best buddies!

I am only 3 years old, so I am hoping for you to enjoy playing with me too. I like to chase kitty toys or a laser light also. No doubt you will have a fabulous time just watching me be silly.

More than anything, I am ready to be adopted and become part of your family. I would like to cuddle with you, make you feel better after a bad day, and just be your best gal. Are you up to this? If so, please come by and ask to see Wilma."

Wilma is available for adoption today at the Merriam Campus of Great Plains SPCA!

  1. Wilma seems a LOT nicer and sweeter than the tortie here - do you think they will notice if I do a switcheroo?

P.S. I don't know if you check back after you've commented on blogs, but I did answer your question - basically I just said that once my human learned how to use the Curves tool, she didn't need to dodge and burn as much anymore.

  2. Aaaaw meez suwe hopes Wilma gets a good home soon. She's vewy purretty.

    Luv ya'

  3. Good luck to Wilma. Have a serene Sunday.
    best wishes Molly

  4. Can it be said that us Torties are like those human's fingerprints? No two prints are the same? :)

You are a pretty girl, Wilma and we hope you don't have long to wait for your furrever family!

  5. tous mes voeux pour toi Wilma
