Sunday's Shelter Sweetie: Sadie

"Hello! Sadie here.

Are you ready to fall in love? I am! I can't wait to meet my new humans who will be taking me home."

"Reading about me is kind of like a first date, isn't it? You find out all about me and see what I like and don't like and hopefully you can send me your thoughts what life would be like with you.

Good food, fresh water, a clean litter box? Yep, that all sounds good. Lap sitting, snuggling, watching old movies or cheering on the Chiefs together? Sounds excellent! Perching on the desk while you pay bills online? Yep, I'm good at keeping company with people. Watching you make dinner while I lounge on the kitchen floor? You betcha! I'm up for all of that.

But there are lots of other kitties to read about, so it's kind of like going on fifty first dates, huh? Let me make it easy for you. We'll do a Sadie Hawkins kind of thing to move this along.

Instead of you picking out a cat to love, I'll pick a human to love.

Guess what? I pick you!

I can tell by the way you gently touch the keys that those hands will be equally gentle with me. And that sunny smile on your lips means you have a sunny disposition and good heart, a definite need in a great human owner.

What do you say? Want to do go to the dance with me?
Hopefully yours, Sadie"

Sadie is available at the Merriam Campus of Great Plains SPCA today!
