Sunday's Shelter Sweetie: Hal!

"Hey there! I'm Hal. Are you looking for a friendly guy to help you make visitors feel welcome? I'm your guy! I like to meet everybody and inspect what's going on."

"Oh, and is your name Dave, by chance? I've been dying to be adopted by a "Dave" - just think how much fun it would be for me to look you in the eye and say, "I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that." (sorry, a bit of geek-cat humor there!**)

Seriously though - when it comes to playtime, that's just the BEST. I like crawling into, out of, under, and over things. Tunnels are pawesome! Of course, I'd also like to lounge around and hang out with you, too.

One's a bit embarrassing. When I arrived at Great Plains, the docs noticed that my tail was injured. It couldn't be repaired so to save me future troubles they had to remove it.

I do just fine without it though. I think it makes me unique and is a great conversation starter with all those people I like to meet!

Come on down and visit today!
You just may find me wandering around the cattery greeting visitors as they arrive.

Friendly purrs,

**Hal was quoting the computer named Hal from 2001: a Space Odyssey.

Hal's available at the Merriam Campus of Great Plains SPCA!

  1. Well Hal, I think being tailess is perfect, just look at me! You are one gorgeous mancat and we hope you find a furrever home soon!

  2. Purraying that Hal finds his forever home soon. Don’t cats need their tails for balance?

    1. We're sure Hal would prefer to have his tail but he came to Great Plains with it degloved - and some suspect it was from abusive treatment, too. Poor Hal!

  3. Hal BABEEEEE!!! you are a very handsome mancat...sharing!!!

  4. Hal is really adorable! I think kitties with no tails are unique and really cute. :) I hope he finds a wonderful home soon!
