Poll: Would you eat after your pet?

So somekitty decided he wanted to help himself to the milk in my cereal bowl the other day.

Actual bowl. Not a dramatic reenactment. In case, you know, you were wondering and all.

Problem is, I wasn't yet done with it.
Hadn't even begun to be done with it, in fact.

So...
Question of the Day:
Would you have thrown out the entire bowl of cereal after said feline had sated his thirst?

Maxwell, looking all innocent. (Dribble of incriminating milk included, no extra charge) #guiltyascharged #samesecats #catslookngguilty #blueeyedcat
The Guilty Party, looking all Innocent and stuff. Is that a dribble of milk on your chin, dude?

Would you drink (or eat) after your pet?

Yes
No
I fail to see the problem here. Why are you even asking?
Eww. Just, eww.

  1. I wouldn't even think twice about continuing to eat. Now eating after another person would be a completely different story...

  2. My human would toss it! She is SO finicky - if we so much as touch her food with our paw or noses, out it goes! Which is dumb, 'cause I would totally share her food with her.

  4. Well, one of us (not namin names but it starts with "A" ) tried to run off with a cooked chicken thigh last night. TBT is no fool, he rinsed it off unner the sink to get dust off and ate it. He said a little cat spit wasn't gonna bother HIM!

  5. Our Mom would probably continue depending on what she saw us touch/eat.

  7. I read something one day that is so true: "If you find human hair in your food, you gag. If you find your pet's hair in your food, you just pick it out." LOL!

  8. I voted for fail to see a problem here :) My hubby always gets disgusted when he tells me Phoebe drank my water and then I drink it.

  9. My naughty cat bro Bert stole a hot roast off the counter and was attempting to eat it. You bet Mom washed it off a bit from the floor fur and dirt, and ate it. No problem, germs are good for the system in this terrible anti-bacterial age!

  19. I share things with my kitties all of the time. We all live in the same apartment, sharing the same germs. So far, I have never contracted an illness from my cats, even though I allow them to eat with me. I have, however, caught many illnesses just from being near other humans. I think it is humans that are gross. :P

  20. Flynn's way of waking me up is to push his nose into my mouth so eating something he has been at isn't a problem.

  24. Our Mama won't eat anything if it has fallen on the floor or is past the expiration date or even if a human has eaten part of it. She's kind of weird about things like that.

  26. Minko tried that today, but he had to wait until pawppy was finished, then he got to lick as much as he wanted...which was 2 licks and off I go...he will not eat on his own...sigh...
    Dog-guy scored instead!

Sorry we have been rather absent of late, the meowmy was working long hours and then all the chores caught up to her...and pawppy and her went out even...the nerve!
