Attack of the Killer Laundry Basket.

So there I was, minding my own business.

Sitting on the clean laundry, keepin' it safe. When all of a sudden...

The khaki pants engaged in a vicious act of violence against my person.
I had no choice but to defend myself!!

Once deaded, it's back to being ever-vigilant over the clean laundry.

If you wait long enough, someone else - like your older brother - will do it for you.
Case in point:

Maxwell: "Need any help with that garbage disposer, Papa?"

"Here, I'll hold the box still while you lift all the parts out."

"Yup, right size. Let me just make sure this ring's on tight...."

"More parts in the bottom? Need me to go get them, Papa?"

"Uhhngghh, I'll...just be a minute...almost got it..."

I rest my case.
