Special Edition Waif: Meet Macy!
We'd like for you to meet Macy. Macy is a total sweetheart - she loves following humans around, chirping and meowing and carrying on complete conversations.
She's so personable and friendly!
She's also a bit obese, and is therefore classified as a special needs cat. Macy needs someone who can help her shed the pounds, but do so in a way that is healthy for her.
Cats who lose weight too quickly are swiftly susceptible to Hepatic Lipidosis, a condition that is often fatal. (Our human's mom lost her kitty to this, so we know how deadly it can be. You can read more about this disease here.)

Wednesday's Waif: Uncle Phil
"Hello!
Thanks for clicking on my picture! My name is Uncle Phil. I was named after the wise and lovable patriarch on "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."
"I've been told my golden eyes look wise, and I'm very lovable! I'm a super-soft black kitty with just a smidge of white at my throat. I was found wandering the streets of Belton as a stray, so I'm thankful to be here, safe and well fed, while I wait for my forever person or people to take me home.
You may have noticed that I'm 8 years old, but that's just middle age for a cat. If you take good care of me, we should have many happy, healthy years together.
People here say I'm a very observant cat. I like to just sit back and watch. I'm a great listener, and I always keep secrets. I do tend to be shy at first, but if you speak to me softly and pet me gently, I warm up.
My Felinealty is Secret Admirer. That means I tend to be shy and fearful in new situations, but I do love people. When you are home, I will want to be with you, and when you're away, I'll be thinking about you. My likes include tuna, toy mice and ... you!
