Yes, that's actually what the Shoebox team has been calling these rejects for the (many) years our mom has worked there. "Funny, but no" is a legend around Hallmark. So we thought we'd add some of these "rejects" into the 'Toon Tuesday rotation.

ReplyDeleteMol, that is funny! What a great job your mom has! Many years ago I wrote a bunch of greeting card slogans and sent them to the companies that accepted freelance submissions. I actually got a few accepted and they even sent the actual cards, which was cool. But the rejection rate was too high to justify spending the time.
