Infographic: What does your pet say about you?

We found this infographic interesting, though it's a tad bit dog-centric.
And we also have to object to cats being more lifestyle driven than personality driven.

And only for introverted readers, too. Hey, what about Jackson Galaxy? He's openly said he's out to smash the typical cat person stereotype. Isn't this infographic perpetuating that myth?

We are huge supporters of the Meet Your Match program sponsored by the ASPCA - a program we use at Wayside Waifs to match a cat's personality with that of the human looking to adopt.
For more info on this hugely successful program, please visit the ASPCA's page here.

And tell us what you think about this infographic. Do you think it reflects pets and owners accurately?

  3. You're right about it being dogcentric. And the cat owner stereotype so doesn't fit mom. They need to pitch that.

  4. We can't stop laughing at "FISH" - you may also be comforted by dentist offices. Whaaaaat!? MOL MOL MOL.
And whoever said fish were low maintenance? By golly, it's no joke trying to keep the water right!

  5. Can I say how much I HATE this infographic? I have a mind to complain to PetPremium.com. People choose a cat because they love their personality. I notice that people who have dogs tend to be more breed-driven, because dogs adhere more to breed characteristics and aren't as unique in personality as your average non-breed domestic cat. There are more cats living with humans than dogs, and it is about time we got some respect!

  6. Interesting how a few different breeds of dogs are listed but cats are all lumped together. I think that is how "dog" people look at "cats" and cat people, and we have become stereotyped. Hope things are changing for our humans and for us.Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
