Fire Destroys Cat Rescue, Funds Needed

On Friday, January 24th, many heard the news of a fire that swept through a Mansfield, Ohio shelter. It killed three cats at the STOP Rescue Shelter (STOP stands for Stop The Overpopulation of Pets). Currently 42 cats are in intensive care at a veterinary clinic, and it is uncertain if all of them will survive.

One thing we do know: this nonprofit shelter has rehomed cats in need for over 25 years in Ohio, saving many that were considered unadoptable.  And now STOP is the one in need.

Can you help?

Clicking on the image below will take you to GoFundMe's Disastery Recovery Fund - a Certified Charity.

  5. We'd like to suggest that our kitty friends make a donation in Memory of Prancer Pie. That's what we did. He passed away on the same day as the fire so it just seemed right to do that. Have a great week. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  6. We, too, like the idea of making a donation in Prancer Pie's memory. Our mommy is getting out the check book and will be sending our donation out to the shelter today.
Thanks for making us aware of this terrible fire and we purray for all the kitties lost, the ones hurt and the little one that is just too scared to let anyone help.
