Don't you just love bokeh? It creates such a magical and lovely sense of depth in a photo. (Just don't ask anyone to pronounce it, 'k? We get tons of arguments at the studio over that one - ha!)
Bokeh: (BOH-kuh (alt. BOH-kay) Japanese: [boke]) -- that
aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an
image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens
renders out-of-focus points of light".
Here, Allie nibbles at one of the few remaining clumps of green in the
yard at dusk. The bokeh captures the light from a neighbor's front porch
across the street, as well as the failing sunlight filtering through
bare branches. And our little girls' slightly miffed expression (that stuff looks like it's seen a few freezes lately!)
