Bokeh: (BOH-kuh (alt. BOH-kay) Japanese: [boke]) -- that aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light".
Here, Allie nibbles at one of the few remaining clumps of green in the yard at dusk. The bokeh captures the light from a neighbor's front porch across the street, as well as the failing sunlight filtering through bare branches. And our little girls' slightly miffed expression (that stuff looks like it's seen a few freezes lately!)

I have been waiting for this week to use bokeh. It is one of my favorite effects. ♥
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely - I wish I had better photography skills! Purrs from Deb and the Zee/Zoey gang
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. I had to look up what boekh was, but I couldn't find a free photo editor that does it so I just did a blur.
ReplyDeleteOH MY MOUSES! I love that!!! Never knew there was a name for that sort of thing but it sure is beautiful. Very, VERY pretty. purrs
ReplyDeletePurrs,

Now there was my peep thinking that "BOKEH" came with old cream. Great shot, we both loved it. purrs
ReplyDeleteThe effect looks lovely and enhanced Allie.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great picture! Lights with bokeh are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely! I love bokeh to but can only achieve it using photo editors, not naturally.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't even know what bokeh was. But now that we do, that's a fine example.
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful! I was so challenged in trying to find an appropriate background for my shot. Yours is so perfect with that one spot of a different color.
