I agree - scratches mean someone lives there and gives the floors some pursonnality. We don't have many kitty scratches but we have several good dog scratches.
Score! go for it! by the time I moved in here, our wood floors were totally marred. The peeps said when they moved here you could slide through the house on the floors.
Our wood floors are 101 years old but most of the distress has probably come in the past 25+ years from our humans' kitties; even though, kids used to roller skate in the house. Your floors look fabulous and well worth the time it took. Maybe all your kitties need some little booties. MOL.
