Sunday's Shelter Sweetheart: Walter

"Hey there! Have you ever heard of the "little black cat syndrome?"

Well, it seems that little black cats in shelters tend to take longer to find their forever homes. Yes, it's crazy, but that's the way it is."

"And I should know, because I'm a little black cat who's been waiting far too long.

Not to be immodest, but I just don't understand how people can resist an awesome guy like me! I'm very friendly! I don't know a stranger. I'll come right out to meet you if you come visit me.

I'm playful, too! I'm a young guy who likes to play hunting games. I just love to chase "Da Bird." I'm very curious. I like to check everything out and supervise whatever's going on. And I'm a great sidekick, too.  I'd just love to have a human I could follow around all day.

I could help you with your chores, help you play with your computer, or just snuggle down next to you while you read a good book. And speaking of snuggling, I'm great at that, too! I just love to cuddle and be petted.

I'm hoping my forever humans like to give me plenty of attention. Yep, I'm a little guy who's got all that to offer and more! And it's awfully hard to understand why the fact that it's all wrapped up in a coat of handsome, sleek black fur should hold me back.

To tell you the truth, I think I'm downright cute--and so does everyone here at Great Plains SPCA. So, if you're looking for an absolutely awesome cat to make your life happier, I hope you'll come to meet me! I'm right here, just waiting for you--and hoping you'll come for me soon!
