Sweet dreams! That was an interesting article. As Flynn is unable to take medication for his hyperthyroidism, he has his BP taken every 3 months when he has his blood sample taken.
One of the cats in our previous generation, Cyrano, had hypertension and it was so high when we caught it the vet was amazed he hadn't suffered from blindness. He went in weekly for blood pressure for several months before he was fully regulated. Have you ever seen a kitty get BP taken... on their tail?
Lisa, That was a great article on Catster. I learned a lot and will be asking my vet to check the blood pressure of all the kitties when we have our yearly round-up. Thanks, Janet

ReplyDeleteCute photo and great article. Spooky has high bp, but no one told me about blindness being an issue.
ReplyDeleteOur vet checks the BP too...after he lets the kitties chill and 'relax' for a good long while.
ReplyDeleteSleep easy up there in your cozy spot!
