Maxwell: Calculating the spring constant for this toy. You know, F = -kx and stuff.
And maybe doing a little levitation.
Faraday: Are you going to be done soon?
Maxwell: Wasn't planning on it. Why?
Faraday: Beeeeee-CAUSE, Maxie. You're playing with MY TOY. An' I want it BACK.
Maxwell: Patience, grasshopper. Good science can't be rushed.
Faraday: *stalks away, muttering under breath* That is so NOT cool, Maxie. SO not cool.

mom found one of those under our balcony the other day....should we send it to you Faraday??
ReplyDeleteSo, what was k then ? Come on dude, we need to know.
ReplyDeleteum.. I hope Faraday doesn't find one of Maxie's toys..
ReplyDeleteBoodie is always taking my toys. I don't think she's doing any scientific experiments though - she's not very bright.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive, Maxwell. You must be a professor of kitetics.
ReplyDeleteHey Faraday! Izzy has about a dozen springy toys she can't play with until the stitches in her mouth dissolve. You wanna borrow a couple?
ReplyDeleteLevitation??? You are *amazing*, Maxie!
ReplyDeleteOh Maxie a handsome mancat with lots of smarts is very appealing!
ReplyDeleteMaxie, you lost us at spring constant. ;)
ReplyDeleteUmm, don't forget the co-efficient of friction!
ReplyDeleteMu? Uh, I mean mew?
DeleteWell we are more into F=MA where M=mousie times A=Applied Paws. We debate among ourselves about E=MC^2 where catching a mousie exceeds energy output catching 2 of them for one snack. It is an ongoing discussion.
ReplyDeleteI don't do physics. It makes my brain twist up into a pretzel
ReplyDeleteTaking your toy might not be cool, but the photo your mom caught with the spring in mid-air is totally pawsome. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteSmart IS cool, Maxie. Now please give Faraday his toy back, okay? :)
ReplyDeleteThose are cool spring photos.
ReplyDeleteLove how you two are so kind and friendly with each other.
ReplyDeleteThat sure looks like a fun toy. Maxie, maybe you could share with Faraday. Have a great Sunday evening.
ReplyDeleteThere's lots of potential for you to put out lots of kinetic energy playing with that spring. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSpring toys are such fun...maybe there needs to be whole basket full of them at your den so you don't need to wait your turn. Unless of course you have sprung them all under the furniture, MOL!
