Not so Wordless Wednesday

Many of you know artist Lou Belcher - or at least her cats, Bugsy and Knuckles, at the blog HH and the Boys. Well Lou set a "30 in 30" challenge for herself, wherein she painted a cat a day for a month.

Allie was Day # 12. You can see the painting at this link here. And the photo below was the reference picture Lou used!

    Lou really caught Allie purrfectly. She did angel Madison and Fiona for us. And then came the challenge of our Calista Jo. Mom said that if she was Lou, she would have given up. But she kept at it and painted her five times before the both of us and CJ were satisfied. I have all thee paintings in the kitchen now but they will eventually hang in the bedroom. Did you buy Allie's portrait? It was really fun to check out the web-site each day to see if we recognized the kitty before reading who is was. Allie was one of those we knew the moment we saw her.
