We have our good friend Cathy Keisha to thank for this Fun Find!

You might have heard rumors that this year's holiday season is a bit unusual. It's the first time since 1888 that Thanksgiving in the U.S. and the first night of Chanukah converge.

For those who might be interested in observing this most rare of occasions, we present to you:

The Menurkey!

Invented by 9 year old Asher Weintraub of Brooklyn, NY, the Menurkey will set you back a good $50 - but hey, it's a once in an era kind of a thing!

Loads of lore surround this mysterious beast - and the confluence of the holidays, too.  For instance, you may have heard that this will not occur for another 77,000 years. While that's not exactly true (the next occurrence will be in 2070 - provided Thanksgiving is still observed on the fourth Thursday in November at that time) it's still rare enough to be worthy of a unique centerpiece!

To read more about the Menurkey and the unique intersection of holidays this year, here are a few links for you.

  9. That would make an interesting centerpiece. Too bad we don't celebrate Chanukan and we never have lit candles in the house.

  14. This is a great idea. Shows we still have very inventive children in our great country that hopefully will grow up and help solve our pressing problems.

We are Mewish but lean a bit towards eclectic Buddhist medication so... We enjoy Christmas and all celebrations.

    Grand stuff keep em coming
