Toon Tuesdays: 'Funny But No' Halloween Edition

Haven't you ever wondered if a humor writer comes up with a great idea that gets rejected? Yup. All the time. Sometimes it's because the humor's just a bit too edgy for a Hallmark card.

Introducing "Funny, But No"

Yes, that's actually what the Shoebox team has been calling these rejects for the (many) years our mom has worked there. "Funny, but no" is a legend around Hallmark. So we thought we'd add some of these "rejects" into the 'Toon Tuesday rotation.

_____
Toon Tuesdays feature animal (and sometimes human) humor created by the peeps over at Shoebox Greetings (a tiny little division of Hallmark) - where our mom works, too!

  6. I know Hallmark is a family-friendly brand but they really should do something one step removed, maybe in partnership with a small company, to make these edgier cards available! 'Cause that was funny.

  12. We'd love to see some more "rejects"! We fear our mom has always been a bit edgy herself, or at least she loves edgy stuff.
