Yesterday was warm here in KC. Loads of window whiffs for Sebastian & his "office girl," Stormy.
And CJ got a huge thumbs-up from the docs over at Mission MedVet. Yesterday was his first follow-up appointment since being released from the emergency hospital after the fire.

Burns healing nicely, paws look good. The Man in the White Coat told him he was one lucky kitty!

ReplyDeleteOMC! You sure there isn't an arsonist in the area? 3 huge fires in Shawnee and now a kitchen fire. Sounds suspicious to me and my pal 'Rson Kitty. Someone's looking for somebody else who done them wrong and poor Kathi and CK are caught in the middle. Hope they can raise enough $$ to move to the other side of town. CK is still looking adorable. Glad he's healing up. I don't think he'll like feeling heat for a long time.

DeleteMom has leaky eyes at the thought of them having to deal with the trauma of another fire... We're so happy they are all ok but really! ENOUGH already!

We think Amy's hubby Lee is sooo sweet: he hand carried CJ back to Kathi's apartment after it was all over - just so CJ wouldn't have to go in another car ride - he's not too fond of those!
DeleteOMC! Haven't they been through enough? I can' believe the same complex had another fire. Thank Bast they're safe, poor things. I can't begin to imagine how frightened they must have been.

ReplyDeleteAnother fire? That's terrible! Just how much is one family supposed to take? Thank goodness no one was hurt. And I'm so glad that CJ is doing well. He has good doctors and excellent peeps!

ReplyDeleteOh my cat!! How much can poor Kathi and CJ take. I hope Kathi is OK, I know these things can run deep, so give her our love and it was lovely to see the lady behind the handsome boy cat * smile * I just wish it was under nicer circumstances.

Unfortunately, there's nothing left of their original apartment building, it was utterly consumed by the fire. So Amy & Kathi were both relocated to (separate) apartment buildings, adjacent to the one they used to live in.
DeleteIt was Kathi's building that caught fire. She grabbed CJ and ran over to Amy's. Glad she has someplace close to run to!
Oh dear - what they don't need is the alarm going off for another fire. My heart just breaks for them. WOW, CJ has really improved. He's healing nicely. Thanks for this update.

ReplyDeleteOn a happier note, we are thrilled to hear about CJ. He is such a special boy and we are sooooo happy to hear about his good vet report. We is a little bit in luff with him.
I'm glad everyone was safe, but that must have been awful! So happy to hear that CJ is doing so well!
