Ready to go?  I can be packed in a jiff - I just have my wand toy and a mousie or two.
Here, let me go grab them and we can be off!

Wow, this'll be the most excitement I've had in all my whole four months!!!

Maxie's Musings: Gratitude

Maxwell: Momma told me tomorrow is World Gratitude Day. It made me want to sit and think for a moment about all the things I have to be thankful for.

Like a comfortable bed, food, safety - after all, deaf kitties are more defenseless out in the Big Bad World than the average feline....

Oh yes, and a roof over my head, too.

Stampede in WalMart as Famous Cat is Spotted!

Maxwell: Dood, Momma's gonna put you in Time Out for that headline. That's what she calls "sensationalism."

Faraday: Is not either! She said it herself. She ran to the store and bought ALL our cards when Aunt Connie said they had arrived.

Allie: Honestly, I fail to see what all the fuss is about. It's not like they had a card with a fabulous and fashionable tuxedo girl on the front....

Remember our Big Adventure last November when we visited our mom at work and got to be in a Hallmark photo shoot?

"What's my motivation again?"

"Act big and tough. Got it."

*sigh* "It's so stressful being a star..."

And then we teased you with a censored photo!!

"I can't believe Momma made me do this...."

We had to keep our mouths closed about that for almost a whole year! 

But now they're here and we can share them with you:

"Beep Bloop...?" Momma, this is not Kittenese."

"Wait." Traumatized look "I remember that hat...."

"Yes. I remember that hat. Not fondly, either, Momma."

(inside sentiment)

"Hmpf."

"Well at least my costume totally dominates Maxie's."

"Nothing delivers mischief and mayhem like a C-at C-at!"

(whaddaya mean it's not ferocious?!? I'm so out of here.)

But wait! There's more!

In addition to the Star Wars collection at your nearby Wal-Mart, Maxwell came back in January for another photo shoot.
He can be spotted at your local Hallmark shop (or Hallmark aisle in grocers and other department stores) this Halloween.

"I remember that one, Momma. But the night sky was blue ...
And there wasn't a lady on a broom..."

"Aunt Sharon bought the card but didn't even recognize that was me!"

"Maybe it's the back of my head. What if I posed like this?"

Wednesday's Waif on Thursday: Ray

"Pleased to meet you! My name is Ray, and as you can see from my photo, I'm a very handsome boy with amazing, velvety blue-gray fur. It really brings out my golden eyes, or so I've been told."

"I was transferred to Wayside from another shelter that was low on space.

Since I've been here at Wayside, I've been pretty quiet. People here say I'm an observant cat who likes to watch all the goings-on around him. There sure is a lot to see here!

I'm a playful guy, and my favorite toy is wand toy. (they totally ROCK) I enjoy being petted on my neck and face.

I can get a little nippy when I've had enough, so it would be best for me to go home with a cat-savvy adopter, who understands feline signals. I do enjoy attention, though, and I'm a great listener."

"There's one more thing you should know about me: I am FIV-positive. FIV is no big deal. It just means that my immune system is somewhat compromised, so it's important that I have an indoor lifestyle, good food and regular veterinary checkups.

Those are the same things a good adopter would give any cat.
