Systolic/diastolic.
That's the two numbers that make up your blood pressure reading: the upper and the lower numbers.
But you can't even get a reading for the lower number on a cat!
It's really hard to take a cat's blood pressure. Especially if your vet doesn't have the right equipment.

ReplyDeleteyou have to crop with kittens, getting close ups are near impossible.
ReplyDeleteOH yes, I think I crop nearly 99% of them. It makes a huge difference!

ReplyDeleteI have my BP taken every 3 months because my hyperthyroidism isn't being treated in the normal way because of my severe intolerance to most medication. My vet uses a tiny cuff and does it in the examination room with my mum and dad so I don't stress. It has been in the good range each time so far.
I crop all the time!!! Usually it's "cropping out the crap" at my house LOL
